Song lyrics for the week

I was sure by now
That You would have reached down
And wiped our tears away, stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say, Amen and it's still raining

As the thunder rolls
I barely hear Your whisper through the rain, "I'm with you"
And as Your mercy falls I raise my hands
And praise the God who gives and takes away

And I'll praise You in this storm and I will lift my hands
For You are who You are no matter where I am
And every tear I've cried You hold in Your hand
You never left my side and though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm

-"Praise you in this storm", Casting Crowns

That explains it

True story

Love notes

On bad days like today, my friends send me jokes.  Granted, most of the time they are dirty jokes, but I love jokes and I think a lot can be solved through love and laughter.  I wanted to share this one today because it was so corny!

Thanks Tom!

Confession

When I am sad, angry, unhappy, pissed off... whatever emotion I might be feeling... I sing.  I sing loud and I crank up the radio and just get it all out.  Today was one of those days.  My playlist for the day:

1.  Somebody to Love - Queen
2.  Where does my heart beat now - Celine Dion
3.  Don't Treat me Bad - Firehouse
4.  Any way you want it - Journey
5.  I'd do anything for love - Meatloaf
6.  What it takes - Aerosmith
7.  Alone - Heart

And it's only 1:02pm...

Second song lyrics

Everlasting, your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, your glory goes beyond all fame
And the cry of my heart is to bring you praise
From the inside out
Lord my soul cries out

-"From the inside out", Hillsong United

* I'm spending my morning today in my own little world.   Sometimes it's nice to take a step back, to look at all the amazing things in my life and to truly give thanks for how blessed I am.  It's been a weird year for me.  I've had a good reminder of what's important, what's worth it, what's special.  I've also had a reminder of just how bad things can get and how quickly that can happen.  God never gives us anything we can't handle.  I'm living proof of that.  *

Song lyrics of the day

Sometimes my life it feels so trivial
Immersed in the greatness of space
Yet somehow you still find the time for me
It's then You show me Your love

I'm being stalked!

I'm being stalked... on LinkedIn and on Facebook.  (In a funny, non-threatening way)   In the last week, an ex-boyfriend has checked me out on LinkedIn and a good friend of mine has been Facebook stalking me almost every day.  I love it!  haha

I'm proud to say I'm a grow-er

My CEO sent me the link to this article today and I can proudly say I believe I fall into the grow-er category.  Don't make a $100,000,000 mistake!

Dear New England

I am in love.  Please be my sweetheart?

Your first clue...

... that you're in the middle of nowhere?

Facebook can't even find you!

A few things

1.  IT WAS FREEZING on the plane trip from Raleigh to DC.  Like arctic frosty weather.  OMG I thought they were going to have to pry me off of my seat because my butt had permanently frozen to it.

2.  Gordon Biersch is a happening place.  There were no lines at both Five Guys and the California Tortilla place across the hallway.  Apparently everyone is in the mood to get drunk.  I'm just in the mood for a turkey melt and garlic fries.

3.  I feel sorry for whoever sits next to me on the next flight.  Two words: garlic fries.

4.  My hair is so out of control today, I considered buying a hat.  Like for real.  Too bad they don't make hats large enough to contain 'fros like mine.

Song lyrics of the day

She said I think I'll go to Boston...
I think I'll start a new life,
I think I'll start it over, where no one knows my name,
I'll get out of California, I'm tired of the weather,
I think I'll get a lover and fly him out to Spain...
Oh yeah and I think I'll go to Boston,
I think that I'm just tired
I think I need a new town, to leave this all behind...
I think I need a sunrise, I'm tired of the sunset,
I hear it's nice in the Summer, some snow would be nice... oh yeah,

-"Boston", Augustana
