This is one of my favorite poems, so I got a great laugh out of this today!

Holy Mom Jeans!

It is official - I am on strike from the Gap.  The company that I loved for so long has taken their quest for fooling the world into wearing Mom Jeans to a whole new level.  I didn't realize how bad it had gotten until I went shopping for some new jeans this weekend.  Observe: Exhibit 1

These are Gap Long and Lean jeans.  Um, do I look long and lean to you?  How frumpy does my butt look?!?  It's OK, go ahead, look at my ass.  I give you permission.  WOW, that looks horrible.  It wasn't until I actually took a picture that I realized how bad these look.

On to Exhibit 2:

With well placed pockets, subtle color differences and design detailing, my butt is transformed into a hot piece of ass!  (OK that made me laugh to write that).  But look - same butt, better jeans.  What a difference!!  I am not shopping at the Gap anymore.  Sorry guys, your quest for Mom Jeans domination ends with me.  I'm done.

So ask yourself this:  Are you wearing Mom Jeans and don't realize it??  Have you looked in the mirror at your own behind lately? 

My goal

So, I've talked before about how much I love this song from the movie Romeo + Juliet... I think I have finally decided my first piece I will play for my piano recital.  I had to stop lessons for a bit, but I plan on picking up again in the fall and this is my goal.  You like?

Getting caught singing in the shower: Episode 4

In today's episode of Getting caught singing in the shower (when you don't expect ANYONE to be home), we find our heroine shocked out of her ever-loving mind when her husband shows back up at the house after leaving 30 minutes prior because the baby forgot his blanket and was crying for 10 solid minutes.

And wouldn't you know it, today's song of choice was Part of Your World from the Little Mermaid.

My girlfriends are awesome

We're getting ready to have a girls night out this Saturday night, and this is what I got in my email this evening...

OK Ladies it’s been a while since we’ve been out on the town. We’re all a little older, a little wiser, definitely better looking…the question is can we can still hang with those young 20 something BITCHES……YES WE CAN!!

I took it upon myself to do a little “now” and after 2 hours of drinking pictures….however for some of us this may occur a lot sooner….
