Friday night: Brier had his dress rehearsal for his piano recital coming up in April. He got to play on the big piano in the concert hall and he did great. He is really enjoying it and getting very good!
Here's a preview of what he's playing - hard to believe he's only been taking lessons for 2.5 months!
Saturday: Brier had Opening Day for his little league team. Jayson is one of the assistant coaches and he's having a great time with that.
Their team name is the Thunder and they were grey and navy blue. It did nothing but pour down rain all morning on Saturday, but it let up just long enough for all of the kids to get onto the field during the parade. Oh yeah, and then it started raining again! We were all drenched.
Saturday night: We took the kids over to spend the night with Grammy so that Jayson and I could go see the Hunger Games at the IMAX theater. And by the way, the movie didn't disappoint. I'm ready for the next one to come out!
After the movie, we went downtown just to see what was going on. We went to a bar where the NC State basketball team just happened to be hanging out. Here's a shot of me and Painter, one of State's pretty awesome players.
He's smiling because I bought him a drink. I'm smiling because he had no idea I'm a Tar Heel! Go ACC!!
Sunday: We watched UNC lose to Kansas last night. What a sad loss. So much for my brackets! Is it football season yet?
